It has taken at least a couple of years to research, write, illustrate and finally compile the “1001 Species: A Natural History of a Small Town” book that I have been working on.

This was written for my own pleasure and interest based on over 20 years simply looking at the birds and insects and plants within a short distance of Baie-D’Urfé. The intention is that local residents, well anybody in fact, with an interest in wildlife will have their horizons expanded by learning of the remarkable biodiversity of a slice of suburbia … albeit one with a lot of green space.

It’s available free as a downloadable PDF file from this site (https://1001species.ca)
